I am very pleased to announce that release 0.6 of Satchmo is now available. There was a little confusion with the feed earlier today so I apologize for the confusion. We really are released now!

Satchmo is an Open Source framework for creating unique and robust online stores. It is developed using the Django framework and has many features, including:

• 100% template driven design using the django template system
• Complete shopping cart capabilities
• Integration with multiple payment processing systems
• Flexible product management
• PDF creation of invoices, packing slips and mailing labels
• Flexible tax, shipping and discount modules
• Newsletter management support including mailman integration
• Account management features

Satchmo is licensed under the BSD license.

New features and improvements in this release include:

• Capability to rate and review products
• Improved account management capabilities
• Implementation of a new configuration settings management system
• Addition of the Trust Commerce payment processing module
• Addition of a downloadable product type
• New interface to import and export products
• Multiple bug fixes, translation improvements and minor tweaks
